Owner, Graphic Designer, Web Designer
Joel has lived in Austin since 1990 and hopes to stick around a while. He worked at Jolly Design while obtaining a BFA in Design from the University of Texas at Austin in 2005. The following year he put in time for Sumpter & Gonzalez LLP, a criminal defense firm in Austin, designing ads, legal websites and other collateral. In 2006 he pursued an abundance of freelance work and started Sko Design Lab.
Besides pursuing his graphic artist interests, Joel has a desire to see Austin's church community become more involved and connected with the people and culture of Austin. He has been involved with Above Grounds to work towards that goal. His other interests include guitar, baseball and golf.
